Die globale Wasserkrise

A summer of record drought hit Europe this year, wich has made one thing clear: we are in the middle of a water crisis. But how does the water crisis manifest globally and in Germany specifically? What can policymakers, companies, farmers, and others do about it?

We will discuss these and other pressing questions at our high-level panel discussion, with experts including Mina Guli, extreme marathon runner and founder of the Thirst foundation, whose mission it is to raise awareness for the global water crisis.

The Thirst Foundation and Bayer are pleased to invite you to join us at our in-person event: “The Global Water Crisis – Taking Action and Advancing Solutions”

We have invited experts from a diverse range of sectors to share their knowledge and experience on the topic. To date, the following speakers have confirmed their participation:

  • Mina Guli, Founder and CEO, Thirst Foundation
  • Matthias Berninger, Global Head of Public Affairs, Science, Sustainability & HSE, Bayer AG
  • Christoph Heinrich, Chief Executive Officer, WWF Deutschland
  • Prof. Johannes Vogel, Ph. D., Director General, Museum für Naturkunde Berlin
  • Dr. Hamed Beheshti, Co-Founder and CEO, Boreal Light GmbH

In the lead-up to the first global United Nations water conference in almost 50 years, Mina Guli has taken on the challenge to run 200 marathons in one year to motivate companies and bring people together to take meaningful action on water. Bayer supports Mina Guli as a campaign partner.

Please note that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we can only welcome a limited number of participants in person.
