Bird tour with Vogelphilipp

Together with the biologist Frederic Griesbaum from the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, ornithologist Philipp Herrmann gives an insight into the world of bird songs. During a free bird tour in the Tiergarten park, you can be amazed by the variety of sounds that local birds use to attract mates or defend their territory.

The Landshut ornithologist Philipp Herrmann, known as Vogelphilipp, designed the concept of the bird song hotline in 2016 and has since answered around 15,000 inquiries via WhatsApp. As a child, he listened to bird songs on CD to help him fall asleep. At the age of 15 he organized his first bird hike. Now he is going on tour nationwide. Under the motto "Vogelphilipp goes Germany" he offers bird hikes in six cities. The first of these takes place in Berlin. Then we continue to Hamburg, Bonn, Stuttgart, Augsburg and Landshut.

If you can't make it to the bird hike, you can use the bird call hotline from 1 to 30 April on +49 151 2906 8600 or follow Philipp Herrmann's WhatsApp channel "Vogelkunde".

The tour takes place as part of the "Understanding Diversity" project, as part of which we will offer various educational offerings with internal and external experts in the coming period.
